Lifeguarding

I was a lifeguard a few years ago... or at least that's what it seems like. It was more like 10 years ago. Okay, there. I said it. 10 years ago! I can remember when I COULDN'T remember what I was doing 10 years ago. But I digress.
Lifeguarding. I loved it. I was mexican-tan, crazy blonde hair - with no chemicals... other than chlorine:) and I spent my days by the pool. I got paid crazy amounts of money (relative to my age) and did basically nothing to earn it. I met some of my best friends ever during those summers. Including myself. I gained so much self confidence. I learned that there were people in the world who like me because of who I am and not because I acted the way I thought they wanted me to. Those were a few very liberating summers!
