We got a good dose of rain this week. On Monday we decided it was time for some yard work. It had been blazing hot all day but the clouds were moving in and it was cooling off... down to about 95 degrees! So we headed outside. We'd been working for about 5 minutes when it started to sprinkle. No big deal. It was kinda nice actually. Then it got a little heavier and before long we were running for cover because it hurt to get pelted by the huge drops. We were LOVING it! We left our yard work alone for a while and played with Aiden. This is the first time he has played outside in a good rainstorm. He loved it. He even "mowed" the lawn in it!

Does Vegas have monsoons? They're pretty crazy here. It looks like Aiden had fun. I love how we can be walking along on what seems to be dry ground, and Canon will go out his way to make sure he finds a puddle and splashes through it.

This goatee poll is really coming back to bite me. I want it shaved, but he is getting good reviews, especially in person... I still think he is cute though.

Yes, Vegas does get a lot of rain in August but it is very different here. In Vegas it is overcast for days at a time. Here it is sunny in the morning and by 6:00 the storms are rolling in. We are really enjoying it.
